Although I found interest in all the aspects of communication, the one that I found most interesting was intrapersonal. My reasoning first is that I never really knew much about this aspect. I have heard about it from previous courses, but this reading was the first time I was able to dive into details about the topic alone. As a sociology major, the study of communication of others is something that has always interested me, but to learn about something different that many for touch on too deeply and to find information on the communication that one has with oneself is intriguing to me.
Since I was a child, I always knew I wanted to something in the medical field. I actually contemplated becoming a nurse for a long time. While in high school, I volunteered at the Milwaukee VA Medical hospital, and from there I knew I wanted to be in the HR department at a hospital. However, after the murder of my fiance in February 2016, I have been in limbo with deciding if I want to move more into the legal system, counseling and helping others who have gone or are still going through a lot of the issues I am still going through.
First off let me say that I am sorry for your loss. It must be very hard for you and you are a brave woman. I'm glad that you found something that you aren't familiar with intriguing, that tells me that you are willing to step outside of your boundaries. I think that you are set up to help other people get through what you are going through. I feel like going in that direction is very important for you, helping others is very healing and it keeps you from getting a hard heart. Lastly I like the fact that you have the picture in the middle it gives a nice little brake in between paragraph and adds some excitement from one paragraph to the next.
