After reading the chapter and learning about the forms of
communication, the aspects of communication that most interest me are,
Interpersonal and mass communication. All of the forms of communication I think
play import roles in our lives but these two forms of communication I think are
going to benefit my future career.
The reason I am interested in
Interpersonal communication is because I think it’s interesting to see how
communication between people whose lives influence one another. Everyone has to
have some levels of conflict management skills and listening skills, so it’s
interesting to me to see that, that much effort goes into having interpersonal
communication.
I am interested in Mass
communication because I think it’s crazy that we are able to send out “mass”
messages to our receivers. I’m also interested in mass communication because my
minor is in media design and I think media has a big impact on mass
communication, so to see the two merge is going to be interesting.
I am Business Marketing major with
supports in Median Design and communications. My professional goals are to work
for a clothing retailer, whether it is in marketing or buying I’d love to be
apart of a team that does either of those things. Fashion has always been a
very big passion of mine, if I could use my degree to work for a retailer that
is my ultimate goal. I Feel like fashion is an art form in many ways and people
are able to express them-selves with it and that’s why it’s important to me. I’ve
worked in retail since I was fifteen years old and I still love it and I think I
always will.
To me communication plays a major
role in my career for multiple reason’s but the main is because I will be in
contact with people the rest of my life and if I want to have a job in business
I think the communication aspect of my degree would help me a lot. Im excited
to get further into this communications course.

Alexa, yes communication and team work is the key to succeed in our life's and professional careers. We have to communicate with everyone in person, by phone, by mail or social media every day. ReplyDeleteI also talked about mass communication in my blog. It's so crazy to think about how much of an impact technology has on our everyday lives. Sending invitations in the mail is a thing of the past. Nowadays it is much easier to send out invitations electronically, via email or Facebook. Wanting a career in retail/fashion is a great goal to have. I also work in retail and it can be a very rewarding job. If you have a passion for fashion, then your degree can definitely help you to pursue that.
ReplyDeleteI as well find it interesting how interpersonal communication works and how it will influence one another. It's very interesting to think how much of our own lives have been influenced by others because of interpersonal communication. Mass communication is as well pretty interesting and will definitely play a big role with the direction you plan on going in.
